VIDEO PREMIERE: Bring Me Down To My Knees (JESS SPAHR)

FOLLOWING UP ON THE RELEASE OF HER LUSTROUS SINGLE BRING ME DOWN TO MY KNEES, SYDNEY SINGER-SONGWRITER JESS SPAHR UNVEILS HER ACCOMPANYING MUSIC VIDEO FOR THE SPARKLING TRACK - AND IT'S PREMIERING RIGHT NOW ON THE SOUNDCHECK!

Trained as a contemporary pianist and balancing a brew of smooth melodics and hauntingly powerful vocals, Jess Spahr has routinely explored the realms of synth-pop and indie waters, calling to mind at times the likes of Goldfrapp, London Grammar and Morcheba in her own unique way. And it's in her latest release Bring Me Down To My Knees that Spahr flexes her textural might, conjuring a bopping earworm that is sleek and sinuous while detailing a particularly memorable post-hangover moment - and it's this very moment that is brought to life in her brand new music video, as Spahr herself explains:

"The intent of the video is to convey a darkness that is possessing you, this is demonstrated by the dance whom is an actual vocal student of mine Sophie Quay. My personal darkness for the song wasn’t a broken heart it was a very bad hangover haha; the song was written about a great boozy night out, drinking lots of German Beer and Schnapps."

An ode to the nights that still linger with stings of regret and a sore head the next morning, Bring Me Down To My Knees found its pulsing sonic heart in conjunction with Spahr's sparring partner and production collaborator Luke Carra of Caravana Sun, shifting from a ballad to a pumped up electro pop rocker. And while a new venture sonically for Spahr, the end result is an undeniable toe-tapper, with a striking clip to boot that simultaneously captures Spahr's spirit while also dredging up long-lost memories of particularly exquisite hangovers of days gone by.
