Exactly one week ago, Ohio-hailing metalcore faves The Plot In You dropped some delicious news for fans keen to kick off 2026 with a bang, announcing a national headline run next January, joined by very special guests Fit For A King (USA), Boundaries (USA) and Banks Arcade.

Kicking off on Wednesday 21 January in Fremantle, The Plot In You will visit Adelaide, Chelsea Heights, Melbourne and Sydney, before closing out this mammoth visit on Friday 30 January in Brisbane.

A band relentlessly poised on the cutting edge of heavy music, The Plot In You have cultivated ongoing critical acclaim and fan adoration since first forming 15 years ago. Hailing from Ohio, the group announced themselves to the scene via their 2011 debut album, First Born, paving the way for their soon-to-be-signature balanced and innovative take on metalcore tropes. Whether weaving elements of alternative, electronica, pop, R&B and beyond into their raw yet thunderous sound, one thing is always certain when it comes to The Plot In You: expect the unexpected and hang on for an exhilarating ride.

No strangers to Australian audiences, The Plot In You previously ticked off an entirely sold out headline run down under in 2023, before once again wowing Aussie crowds at Good Things Festival in 2023 off the back of their crushing single Forgotten. And as anyone who has previously experienced The Plot In You in a live setting will attest, this is an act not to be slept on, with the one of the band's previous Australian visits summed up by TheMusic.com.au: "...if you missed this tour, you missed what was actually possibly the metalcore show of the year."

Over the years, The Plot In You have crafted a gold-certified single (Feel Nothing), generated over 100 million streams, garnered praise from the likes of Billboard, Rock Sound and Alternative Press, and toured the world with multiple giants in the heavy world, including Bring Me The Horizon, Beartooth, Ice Nine Kills and Wage War. Ferociously dedicated to blurring genres and forging connections, THE PLOT IN YOU continue to purge negative real world experiences into captivating art, most recently witnessed via their 2021 fifth studio album, Swan Song, and in 2024 with their trilogy of EPs, Vol. 1, Vol. 2 and Vol. 3.

And while 2026 certainly won't make the first time The Plot In You have been to our shores, we grabbed a moment with frontman Landon Tewers to check in on the current status of his Aussie bucket list: here's what Landon is most excited for when he heads back to Australia in early 2026!

LANDON TEWERS PLOTS SOME AUSSIE DOWNTIME FOR 2026

Landon Tewers: I know we’d love to do another big festival over there in Australia, we have already done Good Things Festival of course, but we’d love to come back out for a festival slot.

I also just want to explore a little bit more. I feel like anytime I’ve been to Australia, it’s usually just been from airports to venues and back again. I think the first time we ever went there, we had a day off and we were driving on that tour. We were in a van, so we actually got to pull off the road and go to this area with a waterfall and stuff like that. I would love to go to some beaches as well, that’s definitely something I haven’t had a chance to do properly yet. I know the Gold Coast is really beautiful for that. I’m a big water person, I actually just bought a lake house about three or four months ago. I literally just stare at it all day every day. I never get sick of water.

A lot of people don’t realise when it comes to touring - it isn’t one big vacation. It’s literally just all work every time we’ve been to Australia. I mean - it’s always awesome. The shows are great and I have so many good friends out there. But yeah, I just need to spend a week after a tour just hanging out and getting to see some other stuff.

I will say that from our previous visits, Perth is really my speed. It just feels like its own world completely. It’s so cool, I love stuff like that, super isolated, secluded places. I feel like I would really like some of the outskirt areas of Perth. I’m not a big city person. I did that sort of thing already, I lived that city life for a while, and I’m over it. I actually try to go to Hawaii every two or three years now. I love that vibe of just being somewhere so tiny and so removed from everywhere else. Most of my friends are getting older and buying houses, and they’re all gravitating towards cities. But for me - I did the exact opposite. I moved as far away from people as possible, and it was the best decision ever. I love it. I’d really like to see some of the more rural areas in Australia, where actual people live on the water. I really would love to find some obscure beaches over there, that would be really fun!
