SINGLE REVIEW: Coast To Coast (TIM SMYTH & HOLYTRASH)

SINGLE: Coast To Coast // ARTIST: Tim Smyth & HolyTrash

Escape with some coastal nostalgia as Melbourne indie rockers Tim Smyth & HolyTrash unveil their silky new single Coast To Coast.

Following the success of their 2016 EP Greedy Eyes, Tim Smyth & HolyTrash have spent 2019 drip-feeding new tunes, most recently rocketing into the last few months of the year with glossy pizzazz via their brand new release; the fittingly reverbed-soaked Coast To Coast which continues the group's love affair with melodic rock, sultry tones and just a hint of eras gone by.

Packed full of sweeping instrumentation, airy guitars and undulating drums, Coast To Coast skirts upbeat summery vibes with moody timbres as the steady, smooth vocals of Tim Smyth himself sprawl across the reverb and rhythmics below. A track clearly built for watching the sun's last rays over the horizon or calmly rolling across the waves, Coast To Coast boasts energetic calm with its hushed hooks and certainly shows the group in pristine form.

Mixed and mastered by Haydn Buxton and featuring Zac Connelly (bassist and backing vocalist for Melb rockers Rival Fire) in the outro, Coast To Coast will get you dreaming about summer and drench you in its warm and whimsical ways.

TIM SMYTH & HOLYTRASH'S NEW TUNE COAST TO COAST IS OUT AND ABOUT IN THE WORLD NOW, YOU CAN CHECK IT OUT BELOW, OR HEAD HERE FOR MORE INFO.
