In 2025, a new Sleep Token era is upon us, with the enigmatic English group recently revealing a brand new album Even In Arcadia will release on May 9 via RCA Records / Sony Music Australia; and alongside that jubilant news for fans was also a new offering in the form of brand new single Emergence.
The band's first new music since Take Me Back To Eden, the towering and ambitious 2023 third studio album, Emergence is a song of two halves, part ethereal immersive wonderland and part heavy dexterity, with the outro also wielding a truly serene sax solo that warms and calms after the stylistic oscillations that have come before it.
For longtime Sleep Token fans, this level of unique and zealous sonic exploration comes as little surprise. After all, this is a band who continually let their music do the talking for them, and also a collective who do not bend to external expectation.
