MUSIC NEWS: The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus join the fight to find justice for Toyah Cordingley.

A month on from the horrific discovery in late October when the body of missing 24 year-old Toyah Cordingley was discovered on a secluded north Queensland Beach just north of Cairns, the distraught Cordingley family have again pleaded for anyone with any information about Toyah's murder to step forward. But while the case remains unsolved, a small shred of light has sprung to life courtesy of her favourite band: The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.

In a heart-wrenching turn of events, Toyah's favourite song was 'Your Guardian Angel' by American post hardcore rockers The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus - her ring tone, her go-to song and a track that her friends and family relate heavily to, now more than ever. And with the band set to imminently tour down under, TRJA's frontman Ronnie Winter along with publicist John Howarth and promoters Destroy All Lines confirmed the group would dedicate the song to Toyah at all of their Australian shows, with TRJA also releasing a new lyric video with Toyah's story pinned by the group in the comments, and a heartfelt message:

‘’This lyric video will stand as a living memorial for those we have lost along the way. If you know someone who has passed and this song was special to them feel free to leave their story in the comment thread or a simple name and date of passing to have them remembered and thought of by all...’’

Despite exhaustive efforts from the police and community, Toyah's final movements are still unclear and her killer is still at large, if you have any information at all regarding the death of Toyah Cordingley, please contact Crime Stoppers immediately: 1800 333 000.
