MUSIC NEWS: Love all things hardcore? Get your ears around the brand new track from Mirrors!

In some epic news for the heavy fans, Victorian quartet Mirrors last week hit us with a double whammy: a new single and video, plus the announcement of a brand new EP due to unleash on Friday May 10th.

Forming in late 2016 by Gippsland natives Patty Goodman (vocals) and Tyson Taifer (guitar), the metalcore gods came together and catapulted the group from their debut release 'Fools Paradise' in 2017 to playing alongside Parkway DriveArchitects and more at the iconic Unify festival that same year.

The group's brand new track (and title track of the upcoming EP) 'Cold Sanctuary' brings some fresh shades to the pre-existing tricks in the Mirrors sonic stable; roaring guitars, shattering beats amid swirling textures and crystalline vocals. Of the track, frontman Patty Goodman says it "...explores the terrifying state between wakefulness and sleep. arguably self inflicted, a female entity torments and strangles the one constantly stuck in this state".

While we have a few months still to wait until we can get our ears on the 'Cold Sanctuary' EP, one thing's for sure at this point in time - Mirrors are a spectacular reflection of the burgeoning heavy music scene in this epic country of ours, and we absolutely cannot wait to hear more.
