There's no chance of crisis or collapse for Byron Bay thrash lords From Crisis To Collapse; starting off 2019 with the release of their debut EP 'The Seventh Tree', the heaving quintet have since gone on to sign with thriving emerging heavy label Black Mountain Music and charm a bunch of stages along the way.
Heaving and wholeheartedly devoted to all things heavy, From Crisis To Collapse have firmly throttled the live music scene in a short space of time, bringing an electrifying brew of thought-provoking themes mixed with crushing tunes that has seen them not only carved up a dedicated loyal following, but also supports with the likes of In Hearts Wake, Sepultura, Suicidal Tendencies and locals Black Rheno and King Parrot. And following their well received debut EP 'The Seventh Tree' in February this year, it seems there's no stopping this lot as they continue to hurtle towards infamy by signing up with one of the fresh faces in heavy music labels: Black Mountain Music.
Joining fellow label mates Superheist as foundational members of Black Mountain Music, From Crisis To Collapse are poised to form a steady backbone of what's to come for the label in the very near future, as Black Mountain Music General Manager Richie 'dw' Norton explains:
“We’re really excited that Crisis have joined the BMM family and it was a fairly natural progression with having Chad from the band heavily involved with the set-up of this label. Listening to their music and watching them go about their business in a live environment is very impressive, which is indicative of their uprising over the past year and a half. The band are already writing new music to follow on from their thunderous debut The Seventh Tree. So I’m confident that their talents combined with our premium level of label support will forge From Crisis To Collapse as a common presence in households across this country.”
Recently sharing their onstage brutality alongside Alaska's 36 Crazyfists and Superheist, as well as a recent showing at The Tivoli for Brisbane's Dead Of Winter Festival, From Crisis To Collapse appear hellbent on pummelling into the latter part of 2019 and beyond, a fact echoed by Crisis frontman Angus Carter:
“Joining the Black Mountain Music roster and working alongside dw on that level is a great opportunity for Crisis and will help make our art more accessible to our Australian and New Zealand supporters. The response to The Seventh Tree has been absolutely mind blowing for us this year and has inspired some crazy song writing that we hope to release in the early stages of next year. It’s a great feeling to know that our Black Mountain Music family will be taking care of our local audiences as we also continue to release music across North America, the UK and Europe through Art Is War Records based in the US.”
With the promise of new music on the very near horizon, the only crisis From Crisis To Collapse may face now is how they're going to top their debut release; but we're quite positive they're up to the challenge.
