Summer just got a whole lot hotter with Sydney party lords Bootleg Rascal announcing a huge 15-date run of shows to kick off 2020 across metro cities and a heap of regional towns that often get forgotten on the touring circuit.
Coming to life in mid-2013, Bootleg Rascal have steadily conjured a slick and serene fusion of indie-dub and modern production, taking them across a heap of stages both at home and abroad. And following on from their recent sold-out 'Yin & Yang' Australian and New Zealand tour, the Bootleg lads (aka Carlos Lara and Jimmy Young) are gearing up to bring some summery vibes all over the place in early January, stopping off along the way pretty much everywhere, from Belgrave to Byron Bay and everywhere in between as guitarist Jimmy explains:
"Touring in more remote areas has always been something close to our hearts...We get the chance to bring the show to music fans who might not get the opportunity to catch as much live music than those in major cities."
The upcoming 'Booty Camp: Summer Vacay' Tour isn't just a chance for the boys to flaunt their wares all over the country, with the band also curating the lineups themselves with 17 exciting emerging artists across the whole run - and there’s a massive focus on gender balance as well:
"Jim and myself spent a lot of time working out what acts we wanted on the line-up’s...We’re really excited to see such a diverse offering of talent and we’re confident our fans will enjoy what they have to bring to the shows”. - Carlos Lara, vocals
And with the promise of a "totally cooked" sideshow alley to keep the festivities going in between sets, there's bound to be be plenty to keep you entertainment when Bootleg Rascal rolls through a town near you in early Jan.
