MUSIC NEWS: Finnish "cello-metal" icons Apocalyptica gear up to head down under!

In case you missed the news earlier this week, symphonic metallers Apocalyptica are bringing their stunning selves down under for three super special nights in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.

Starting life in the early 1990s, the group have consistently captivated with their engrossing blurred tendencies that span metal, classical, theatrical - and a touch of rock-opera. Undoubtedly their most memorable breakthrough arrived in 1996 with their groundbreaking release 'Plays Metallica by Four Cellos', which went on to see them play hundreds of concert series, release seven critically acclaimed albums and sell over 6 million records worldwide.

Their trip down under certainly won't mark their first, with previously sold out solo runs around Australia, and a surprise appearance at the 2015 Soundwave Festival run. But 2019 will see this mesmerising collective return to play their biggest Aussie shows to date, taking over the brand new Fortitude Music Hall in Brisbane, the iconic Sydney Opera House and Melbourne's Hamer Hall.

Whether you're dying to get jazzed up for Metallica coming out here in October or fancy a high-brow metal night out - be sure not to miss this undoubtedly spectacular tour when Apocalyptica hit our shores. For ticket info and more, head HERE.
