Armed with a new sound, a new song and some huge things ahead, it's certainly happy days for Brissie post-hardcore quartet Days Like These right now. Starting life on the pop-punk side of the tracks, Days Like These have rapidly grasped evolution by the horns, taking their sound into post-hardcore waters of late, as evidenced by their most recent release Antidote.
Picking up some truly monster supports in their short musical life, the Days Like These lads have already shared stages with international icons (Secrets) as well as a heap of local legends (Windwaker, Stepson, She Cries Wolf) - and this week will also see the lads warming the stage for fellow Brisbanites The Brave, playing the Brightside on Saturday August 17th. Now with their feet firmly planted in new sonic territory and a taste for future metamorphosis, the next phase for Days Like These is set to be an absolute cracker, and in between their busy schedule Tiana grabbed some time with guitarist Russell Hodgson to chat highlights, honing their sound and the ever-burgeoning Brisbane heavy music scene.
